Nonduality is reality. We know in theory that we’re united with everything, that we’re not separate, that there is a nondual state. Most of us also know in theory that we’re already there, already undivided. When we think about nonduality as reality, we can see that because we’re already in reality. No matter how much you try to get out of it, you’re in reality. We can prove that with drugs, right? You can take a ton of drugs and try to get out of reality, but you’re still in it. There’s no escape, really.
So, it’s good and powerful to think that nonduality is reality, meaning being in reality, not finding reality—because that puts reality outside somewhere. It’s me in this vast field of reality, a real person interacting every second of every day through my entire life with this reality.
You can then see that reality is a big, big thing, isn’t it? It encompasses everything that’s happening. It can even be more dynamic than thinking about the universe because reality is constantly changing and moving.
Think about yourself in this vast, vast reality, and this vast, vast reality encompassing you. As much as you are searching for it, it is searching for you. As much as you need to be blended with reality, reality needs you to be blended with it because you already are. It’s only you walking around with an imagination that you’re not, which makes things crazy.
So, here we are. Boom. Real life. Reality.
