Overview

I am going to skip scantily through a bunch of stuff that I’ll elaborate on later.

Important ! Our brains are amazing. They are built just right for the job we have to do in this life. The job of being a human being.

Same deal for our souls.

Being “inside” a brain, can feel very jumbled and disconnected but it’s not. Biology is not at fault at fault. Spirit is not at fault. It’s the enormously disfunctional and psychotic society and culture we swim in that makes us nuts. We’ve been pointed in the wrong direction for centuries.

Don’t try to fix the society first… And don’t try to only fix your spirit… that’s just going to make it worse. We can’t fix today’s problems (inner or outer) using the same insanity that created them.

Up until very recently we didn’t have the knowledge, skills and abilities to figure out what is really going on. So don’t blame the past or each other either.

We can each be masters of ourselves.

Change our most basic assumptions of who we are and we change everything.

Let’s get busy with this self mastery quest.

Sam Lewis says, “I’m quite willing to work here as a flunky, and pull weeds, or do anything of the kind. But when it comes to the dancing class, then I’m the master, not in anything else.”

Adyashanti says, “Many people think that it is the function of a spiritual teaching to provide answers to life’s biggest questions, but actually the opposite is true. The primary task of any good spiritual teaching is not to answer your questions, but to question your answers. For it is your conscious and unconscious assumptions and beliefs that distort your perception and cause you to see separation and division where there is actually only unity and completeness.”

Osho says, “So first one has to get the mastery, and the way to become the master is not to say to the thoughts, “Stop.” The way to become the master is to watch the whole thought process.”
