Knowing who you are is dropping the false face. Once you actually know who you are, you don’t need to pretend any longer.
Like I was talking about in the last video, it’s simply the lack of confusion.
When we don’t know who we are, then we have to pretend. This is because knowing who you are is a fundamental need of every human being. When we think we are a projection, something shallow like our thoughts or our emotions, we have to constantly pretend. Because actually knowing who you are is so very simple and normal and lack of anything at all.
That’s why nonduality calls it not two.
I’m not that thing. I’m not that thing. I’m not that thing. I’m this nothingness of me, which is a place of sheer delight, actually.
So you don’t need to pretend anymore. You can drop the false face.
Ultimately awakening itself, enlightenment itself is nothing. You don’t get anything out of it. It’s the opposite. All the false things, drop away until there’s nothing left but just you. That’s why we say, “not two” in nonduality.
Ah, it’s me. I’m alive.
