Native wisdom gives us a different story of who we are as human beings. It’s a story of unity. Nonduality gives us the tool, then, to see ourselves clearly within the stories that we’ve been told. The stories that have contributed to our perceived separation.
We need to go down to a place of zero and drop all of our old misconceptions of ourselves in order to really take on this new story of total unity. So, use all of your nonduality tools within this new story paradigm, and hopefully, everyone will find it way easier to break through the crust of our own self-deception, find out who we are, start living in this unity.
— The old nonduality stories —
The old nonduality stories paint a picture that reaching the enlightened state is immensely difficult. This is kind of true because within the culture that nonduality grew from, it was very difficult to reach the non-dual state. In that culture there was no vision of what a natural state might be. You had to break completely through all your understandings of who you are, without really having an understanding of how culture itself worked. It couldn’t be seen from the outside, it could only be seen from the inside.
Now we’re at a place where many nondual practitioners are not from that culture. Like, if you’re a white American, right? We’re seeing it from the outside. We need our own stories in order to break us through our sense of separation.
