Nonduality says, “Don’t search because there’s no point in it.” Any kind of searching is your mind looking for itself. You know, your thoughts looking for themselves. That can’t happen because thoughts constantly change. Thoughts are kind of like air blowing by. How can air look for itself? It’s like a river just flowing through your consciousness.
So convincing yourself that you need to use your mind to search for itself is crazy. Nonduality says, “That’s crazy. That’s just crazy. Don’t do it.”
Any thought you have about who you are is not who you are because you’re the one having the thought. In fact, you’re not the one having the thought, you’re the one over whom the thought flows.
See, I can’t even say it correctly beause it’s beyond words.
They like to say you’re the one “experiencing” the thought, but you’re not really “experiencing” it because you are so united, so interconnected with everything that happens in awakeness. Thoughts are flow over.
You’re way, way more than just that. That’s still very conceptual.
Like… you’re alive. You’re a human being. You’re meant to be here.
You are meant to be here fully awake. We need you.
So no searching doesn’t work. Just be. Be here now, in this place. And then, let… I just have to call it lies, let the lies float around because they’re interesting and no more.
Where do ideas come from? I mean, you can have a whole lifetime of just exploring how we were taught to be what we are. It’s fascinating. But meanwhile, you are alive. You don’t have to search for aliveness because you have to be alive in order to search.
