Showing up is important.
There are so many really weird side effects of living in a world that’s been created by duality. That’s how we live. Yes? We live in a world that has been created by capitalism, which is really based on duality. Capitalism basically means there isn’t enough and I have to grab and get everything that I can, and then manipulate others into buying what I have.
One of the unintended side effects of this is the fact that we’re all way too comfortable. Most of us, those of us who have who have a house to live in and an income and have been managed to get along in the capitalistic society, are too comfortable. It is so easy to sit comfortably in our house and not do anything but turn on the TV and blub away.
Showing up is important it means you have to come up out of your comfort and actually go somewhere and do something. In your community there is probably tons of worthwhile things that that you could go do. Things that you could show up for.
I think many of us (especially people who sit around and watch a lot of YouTube videos!) like being by ourselves. We like not getting out there with people.
If that’s the way you are it’s time to make a change. Get out. Show up. You are part of everything and everything needs you.
There is somebody out there putting on an event who’s having a hard time getting enough people to come. They will be very happy if you just show up. The more we step out of ourselves, the less we are clamped down within ourselves.
Now there’s the other side of it too, of course. Because sometimes we do too much. Right? We go go go; fun fun fun; party party party.
As in all things, keep a balance. You can’t do everything. That’s impossible.
It’s really important not to live out of your financial abilities too. You gotta keep to a certain stability in your life. But as much as possible, show up.
Show up and support people who are doing interesting things. Show up and participate.
