The Crux of the Matter: Focus

In this week’s video, we are getting into the real crux of why I am doing all this. It’s about focus. But why would we need to focus?

So many spiritual teachings these days are like, “Everything’s OK, everything’s fine. Don’t worry about anything.”

I disagree. We should be worried. We should be very worried.

There are a lot of problems going on and we need to be the best and the brightest and the clearest and the most focused people possible to be working on these problems.

My teacher Osho always taught that if we want to change the world, we need a new man. We need a new humanity. The earth itself doesn’t need changing. It’s fine. It’s people having a problem. And you and me? We are people.

Osho said the only way this can be done is if there are enough people with completely clear perception working together. He said there needs to be Ten Thousand Buddhas working together.

Imagine this kind of focus. Just like the focus we had in our Zen story on the three sons. The youngest son was so focused on the goal. Shooting the arrow. All you see is the point where the wing meets the chest.

That kind of focus. Yes.

Imagine ten thousand completely awake, focused people working on changing the world?

This is what I’m talking about. I’m not doing this just to hear myself talk. We have some real work to do and the thrill of doing it together is going to be amazing. We have so many children, so many people coming up behind us in the world. We need to create this for them.
