Three Blind Men

There were three blind men and they come upon an elephant. They were trying to figure out what was. What is this thing?

Each of them examined a different part of the elephant.

One was feeling its legs and says, “Oh my gosh! It’s huge. It’s massive. It has really tough skin.”

Another one was feeling its tail and says, “No. It’s not really all that big. It’s kind of skinny. I can get my hand all the way around it. It’s hairy here at the end.”

The third one was feeling its trunk and says, “No. No. You guys are wrong. It’s very wiggly, and it kind of snorts here at one end.”

None of them were able to see the full elephant and so they each got only the one small part. This is exactly the way we’re all approaching spirituality because we each just see just one small part.
