What does the universe want me to do?
This has become the new biggest lie that we’re telling ourselves, and telling each other. I challenge you to to look a little closer at what it is we’re constantly saying, look how pervasive it is, and look how how easy it is for something like that to get into your brain.
I was thinking about this the other day. I was doing something on the computer, you know, clicking on something and I was saving it wrong. Every time I clicked wrong the same thing would happen; it wouldn’t save right. Automatically the thought comes into my head, “Well the universe must not want me to post this video.”
Whoa! Stop! I immediately took a look at that thought and wondered, “What? Where did that come from?” It wasn’t that difficult a task! All I needed to do was click done on the popup window before I click Save. The universe had nothing to do with it. I needed to simply pay closer attention while I’m doing this thing and the video will publish.
But where did this thought come from… that the Universe cares whether or not I post this video?
I mean well, I’m old, so I know back in the day when I was young we never had this thought the universe wants me to stuff. We never thought “What does the universe want me to do?” or “The universe is telling me to do this or that.”
This idea only started happening what? 20 years ago or something like that? And now everybody is telling everybody about the universe all the time. We’re telling ourselves this story in our own heads as if it’s a real thing.
The universe? What is the universe? It’s like this huge thing out there, way out there, that’s deciding whether or not I post my video. When really, all I needed to do was just pay a little closer attention.
Check out this thought itself and you’ll kind of start seeing that we’ve turned the universe into God. Haven’t we? The universe is watching me. The universe loves me. What?
But more than that… more than that.. how come everybody has this shared thought today. Like when I put the title on this video I click baited you because I knew you’d click on it.
What does the universe want me to do?
Right?
Because it’s in everybody’s heads now. This is how conditioning happens. I don’t even know who who started this idea. Somebody, somewhere started having this idea. Another person passed it on, another person passed it on, and now it’s like just everywhere. It’s like it’s like a virus. It’s another pandemic. It’s the pandemic of the universe.
But look how these ideas get in our heads.
So what if we started passing around ideas that were a little more complex, and a little more based on reality? What if it was something harder to accomplish than sitting around and wondering what the universe is going to do. The universe is going to give me wealth, the universe is going to give me prosperity.
Let’s put ourselves back in the driver’s seat. Bottom line that’s what non-duality means.
