Eternal bliss, communion with God, happiness?
Those are the things you are willing to be fooled about.
Now, think: what would you NOT pay a guru for?
Ordinariness, simplicity? The fact that you just have to live your life the way it is, day by day, minute by minute? Reality?
Would you pay a guru for reality?
So. It has nothing to do with the money or the guru, for that matter, but everything to do with your desires and what you’re looking for outside of yourself.
