Yesterday was about nothing

Yesterday’s Mulla Nasrudine story was about nothing. This is my favorite subject: nothing. If you really understand this, then you’ll know how to look inside and find nothing.

Mulla has nothing and yet he’s dividing nothing up between everybody else… and whatever’s left over will go to the poor. That’s quite ridiculous but it gives you a really good idea of the fact that nothing is nothing. This is the most important thing that you can realize in non-duality.

If I told you right now to shut your eyes, look inside and see that you are nothing then you would turn nothing into a something. You would look inside and wait until that nothing happened, or actually look for that nothing.

But how can you look for nothing?

Exactly the same. You don’t own anything. How do you divide it between all your family? how do you leave the last little bit of nothing to the poor?

You can’t. You can’t divide nothing. Nothing is nothing.

The second you realize that nothing actually is nothing, and then you look inside yourself to see nothing, then illusion drops.

I am this.

It’s like Eckhart Tolle talking about the power of now. Nothing and now are the same thing. Nothing happens in the now. If you are actually in “now’ it’s like nothing is happening.

So nothing is the key.
