Rabia’s Needle

So one day Rabia was out in the Village Square. She was on her hands and knees, crawling around, gasping and crying. “Oh no! I’ve lost it! I’ve lost it!”

All the village people came running to help. Obviously she was in such distress. They asked, “Rabia what’s wrong?”

Rabia said, “I’ve lost my needle. I can’t find it. It’s got to be here somewhere.”

All the people started crawling around in the in the dirt, trying to help. Digging around and looking for the needle. Finally one of the wiser women in the village asked, “Rabia. Where exactly did you drop it? It if you could tell us where you dropped it then we could look there, and we’d probably find it faster.”

Rabia replied, “Oh, I dropped it in my hut.”

The woman was exasperated and said, “We’ll never find it here if you dropped it in your hut. Why are we looking here?”

Rabiya replied, “Well. It’s dark in my hut.”
