Thoughts are nuts

Is it useful to point out that thoughts are nuts?

I don’t know; it’s fun, I enjoy doing it. Hopefully, it’s making a little bit of difference in people who are watching my videos. I also assume that people who are watching my videos are watching other people’s videos about non-duality as well.

So, is it useful to, you know, point out that thoughts are nuts?

I hope so because I think that if we can understand this as one of the basic truths of life, then we’re not going to take our thoughts as seriously. And if you’re not taking your thoughts as seriously, it’s actually easier to see them.

You can think one thing and then change your mind and go and think another thing. Most of the things that you and I think are something that’s been given to us from someone else. Take time to examine all the crazy stuff that we believe? Where did it come from?

If you figure that out you can then see that it’s just kind of nuts in there. It’s kind of crazy. Then, you can start seeing things that make a little bit more sense.

For instance… the way things are interconnected makes a lot of sense, the way people interact with each other makes a lot of sense when you understand that thoughts are nuts. Right? If you take your thoughts too seriously you’re not going to get along with other people very well.

So hopefully pondering that, talking about that, is a little interesting and sparks some curiosity.
