Nonduality is not lost. Down underneath your confusion you’re not lost; you’re completely there and awake. The confusion of who we are, the spiritual search, or any of those things, is just a crust that we carry over ourselves. It’s a crust that has been put on us by the things we’ve been taught and the way that we’ve been trained to think and see and perceive reality. Underneath this crust is this awake you that is not lost and has never been lost.
One of the ways you can think about the spiritual search is that you’re chipping away at this crust. As soon as you get a crack in it, start seeing through the whole thing, it can just fall away. You are down underneath; you’re actually not the one that’s chipping away at it. That’s the crust itself trying to chip away at the crust.
You’re down under there, the awake being that is within you. You’re not lost.
